In the financial year, ERA received 5 awards and recognitions. ERA was recognised by the Uganda Federation of Employers in the Best Employer of the Year Award Survey 2015 as the Best Employer of the Year 2015, in the Parastatal Sector Category. In the same year, ERA was awarded a certificate of recognition by the United Nations for her contribution to Advancing access to Affordable, Reliable, Sustainable and Modern Energy for all at the event held in New York City in the United States of America.
The National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) also presented ERA with an award in recognition of exemplary dedication to ensuring compliance to sound environmental management practices.
On the continental scene, ERA was ranked 3rd in Africa and 9th in the world among 55 emerging economies in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean on the investment climate and policies for clean energy investments by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). Early in the year, ERA reached the final shortlist of the Regulator of the Year Award for Excellence on the African continent at the Power in Africa Awards that were organized by Energy Net-UK, in Dubai.
