ERA Wins the 2015 Uganda Sustainable Development Award

The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA), has been named among the 2015 winners ofthe Uganda Sustainable Development Award by Public Opinions International, a Ugandan based agency for the promotion of public good.

The Award is in recognition of, and appreciation for the corporate contribution towards Social-Economic development and commitment towards attainment of Uganda’s Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Uganda.

ERA was also accredited by Public Opinions International among the 2015 Top 50 Sustainable Development Agencies.

This is the third recognition ERA has received in a period of one month, having been earlier recognized, locally, by the National Environmental Management Agency (NEMA) for her exemplary dedication to ensuring compliance to sound environmental management practices, and; internationally, by  Fieldstone Africa Renewables  for the success of the Global Energy Transfer Feed-in Tariff [GET FiT] program.
